Blas MOLA-YUDEGO. Course responsible. My name is Blas Mola Yudego, I am Associate Professor at the University of Eastern Finland. My main field of research is bioenergy production systems, including forest biomass, fast growing plantations and energy policy and economics. In the last years I have been working on forest production and management, particularly related to risks and disturbances. I am former alumni of the MSc European Forestry and I completed my PhD at the University of Joensuu (present day UEF). After that, I worked at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and at the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO). Xiaoqian XU. My name is Xiaoqian Xu, I am an early stage researcher at the University of Eastern Finland. My topic is in biomass production at landscape level, in cooperation with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Another of my focus is the current bioenergy development in Asia. Marina PERIS-LLOPIS. My name is Marina Peris Llopis, I am a Doctoral candidate at the University of Eastern Finland. My main field of research is fire risk. I study how to integrate fire risk into forest planning, aiming to prevent forest fires and their impacts. My background is in Environmental Science and I am former alumni of the MSc Forestry (CBU). In addition, I have worked as a technician at the Environment and Climate Change department in Dénia (Spain).
