The objectives of this session are:

  • To understand the way academic seminars are organized and be prepared to act as both a speaker and a moderator in the seminar

What to do:

  1. Attend the contact teaching session (2 hours) and review the recommended course materials
  2. Review the instructions given in class about moderating the seminar, remembering that:
    1. Each presenter will act as moderator in the preceding presentation
    2. The moderator must: introduce the speaker, keep the time, and signals when, “2 minutes” are remaining, and when “Time is up”
    3. The moderator will thank the presenter afterwards and moderate the Q&A (1 questions per speaker)
